A heat advisory has been issued for the area from 11 a.m. Thursday to 8 p.m. Friday. Temperatures are forecast to be in the upper-80s and 90s for the next several days, with heat index values of 100-104 degrees expected both Thursday and Friday afternoons.
The training room located inside of the Holbrook Public Safety Building, 300 South Franklin St., will be open this week for residents in need of a break from the heat. The training room will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
