PROPOSED Regulations Body Art, Tattoo, and Piercing Establishments and Practitioners

A Public Hearing will be held by the Holbrook Board of Health at Town Hall, 50 N. Franklin St, Holbrook, in the King Meeting Room on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 and virtually via Zoom at 7:00pm to consider adopting a regulation entitled “Regulations Body Art, Tattoo, and Piercing Establishments and Practitioners.” Among its provisions the regulation, if adopted, establishes standards including licensing of body art, tattoo, and piercing establishments and practitioners, standards for infection control and prevention of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and procedures for complaints and inspection for the Board of Health in the town of Holbrook. The proposed regulation is available for inspection below as a PDF document and in the office of the Health Agent at Town Hall during business hours. The Board of Health will accept written comment on the proposed regulation beginning Tuesday, September 5, 2023 through two weeks after the close of the Public Hearing, Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
