TRI-TOWN WATER RESTRICTIONS

Tri-Town Water Use Policy
The following phases will be implemented by the Tri-Town Water Board upon due notice from the Director of the Braintree Water & Sewer Department and the Joint Water Board Superintendent.
The use of all automatic watering devices and soaker hoses are prohibited. Only the use of hand held hoses with shutoff shall be allowed. No organized car washes shall be allowed from June 1 to September 1 of any year. The filling of inground or aboveground swimming pools from the municipal water supply shall be prohibited after June 1 of any year. This phase is in effect at all times when further restrictions are not required.
PHASE TWO (including Phase One)
When reservoirs are below 80% full, further restrictions shall be implemented as follows: outside water use is restricted to the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
PHASE THREE (including Phase One)
When reservoirs are below 70% full (with incoming water), a further restriction shall be implemented as follows: outside watering of Phase 2 hours would be reduced to 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ONLY.
When reservoirs are below 70% full (with no incoming water), a further restriction shall be implemented as follows: there shall be no outside use of water.
When reservoirs are between 50% and 40% full, all outside watering shall be prohibited as in Phase 4 and all use of non essential water is prohibited.
In accordance with the by-laws of the member towns of the Tri-Town Water Board, all violators are given due notice that any and all violations will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
